Boots put right foot forward
Boots Distribution Centres Thetford and Chelmsford
Boots took the decision to centralise their logistics and distribution operation in Nottingham, this resulted in an 18 month closure programme of most of the other centres throughout the country. We worked with local colleges and other support agencies to provide training in a variety of areas, to up skill the majority of the work force. Anne Clarke Associates Ltd enabled 72 staff at Thetford and 40 staff at Chelmsford to gain NVQs in a range of vocational areas which included Warehousing, Business Admin, Management and ITQ. Feedback was very positive from all those involved, comments such as 'helped me to build my self confidence', 'this has provided me with my only qualification since leaving school', 'I was really nervous of doing this, but everyone was so helpful'.
