What are NVQ's
What is NVQ?
NVQ is a competence based qualification which involves candidates proving they can carry out vocational tasks to the National Minimum Standard.
It is like taking your driving test!
You have to prove you can drive a car in all conditions to the set standards, and demonstrate the knowledge to drive safely.
What does it involve?
Candidates produce evidence to prove their competence to meet the NVQ standards and demonstrate knowledge and understanding through questioning and reflection.
When the candidate has satisfied all criteria of a unit, the assessor will sign them off as competent.
What happens first?
 |
A training advisor will visit to discuss the various options available and you will be signed up onto an appropriate NVQ programme. |
 |
The Assessment Centre (Anne Clarke Associates Ltd) will then register you with the appropriate awarding body; |
 |
City and Guilds, EDI, ILM, |
 |
Your assessor will then arrange an initial visit at a mutually agreeable time, to start your award. |
